About this job
Company Name: SARLEO Location: Dhaka Job Type: Full-Time Workplace Type: On-Site Job ID: IJOB202676959
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Angular (v19+), ASP.NET Core (.NET 8+), RESTful APIs, and Microsoft SQL Server (2019+). Own the Backend
- Design, build, and maintain C# / .NET Core services that handle real money and real users.
- Architect APIs (REST, gRPC where appropriate) that are clean, versioned, and documented — not afterthoughts.
- Work with Entity Framework Core, raw SQL when EF gets in the way, and LINQ without treating it as magic.
- Build and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka — not just consume messages, but design topics, partitioning, and retry strategies.
- Work with MS SQL Server and MongoDB — know when to use which, and how to make both perform. Think Like an Architect
- Make real architecture decisions — service boundaries, data ownership, caching strategy, error handling patterns — and defend them.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design and SOLID principles because you understand why they matter, not because someone told you to.
- Design for scalability, resilience, and observability from the start.
- Know when to build, when to buy, and when to say "this is over-engineered — let`s simplify." Ship and Operate
- Write code that works in production, not just in your IDE.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes — containerise services, write Dockerfiles that aren`t 2GB, understand pod lifecycle and resource limits.
- Use and improve our CI/CD pipelines (currently TeamCity + Octopus Deploy, likely evolving as we migrate to cloud).
- Deploy with confidence. If something breaks at 2am, you`re the person who can diagnose it — not just escalate it. Collaborate and Lead
- Work directly with the CTO — no layers in between.
- Review code from other developers. Be honest but not brutal.
- Mentor junior developers — make the team stronger, not dependent on you.
- Communicate clearly in English — in writing and on calls. No ambiguity, no fluff.
- Work in Agile / SCRUM — sprint planning, standups, retrospectives — because it works, not because it`s fashionable. Current Stack (What You`ll Be Working With) Layer Technology Language C# (.NET 6/8+, .NET Core) Frameworks ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Entity Framework Core Messaging Apache Kafka (Event Sourcing) Databases MS SQL Server, MongoDB Auth Identity Server / OpenID Connect Search Elasticsearch Hosting IIS → Docker / Kubernetes (migration in progress) CI/CD TeamCity, Octopus Deploy (evolving to cloud-native) Source Control Bitbucket (Git) Project Management Jira, Confluence Layer Technology Containers Docker, Kubernetes Infrastructure On-prem → Azure/AWS (active migration led by dedicated Cloud Engineer) What We Need From You Non-Negotiable
- 5+ years of professional C# / .NET Core development — production systems, not tutorials.
- Deep, working knowledge of ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and the .NET ecosystem.
- Real experience with Kafka or equivalent event streaming — you`ve designed topics, handled failures, and debugged consumer lag.
- Strong SQL skills — you can write, read, and optimise queries without an ORM crutch.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes — you`ve containerised services and deployed them to orchestrated environments.
- Solid understanding of REST API design — versioning, error handling, pagination, authentication.
- Clean code discipline — you write unit tests, you refactor, you don`t ship "it works on my machine."
- Fluent English — written and spoken. This is a remote team; communication is everything.
- Self-driven. You don`t wait to be told what to do. You identify problems, propose solutions, and execute. Strongly Preferred
- Experience with Identity Server or OpenID Connect / OAuth2 flows.
- MongoDB — schema design, aggregation pipelines, indexing strategy.
- Elasticsearch — indexing, querying, performance tuning.
- Experience in the fintech / payments domain — payment gateways, transaction handling, reconciliation, PCI awareness.
- Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (you`ll work alongside our Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with gRPC, SignalR, or real-time communication patterns.
- Background in microservices architecture — service decomposition, API gateways, distributed tracing.
- You`ve been the go-to person on a team before. You know what it means to be relied upon. What This Role Is NOT
- Not a junior role. We need someone who can make decisions, not just follow instructions.
- Not a code monkey role. You will influence what gets built and how.
- Not a 9-to-5 clock-puncher role. We`re flexible, but we need someone Who Cares About Outcomes, Not Hours.
- Not isolated work. You`ll talk to people — the CTO, other developers, sometimes clients. Communication matters. Requirements
- Experience: 4 to 7 years
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
- Skills: ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, Blazor (Server and WebAssembly), Angular or React (for client-side applications), ADO.NET, .NET 5/6/7, Web Development Frameworks, ASPX, Software architecture Last Date of Application: 31 December 2026
