Junior Software Engineer / Software Engineer, Technology Transformation IDLC Finance PLC. Job Context This is a lead track into technology leadership. The role will work side by side with our Technology Transformation Manager, IDLC's IT team and our tech partners on real system design, data and automation projects. The role will be able to learn to judge a design or an estimate, not just follow one, and take on more as you grow. Job Responsibilities
- Join design reviews, partner sessions and estimate reviews with the Technology Transformation Manager, and prepare the analysis behind them
- Write and run SQL to analyse data, check data quality and support the joint review of IDLC's databases with IT
- Help build the data warehouse and BI layer: source mapping, the data dictionary, test queries and dashboard prototypes
- Document requirements and current processes, and draw the data flows and system diagrams.
- Prototype small automations and scripts (e.g. Python, Power Automate)
- Support testing: write test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing and track defects
- Track project actions and risks, and draft progress updates Job Requirements Must-haves
- A bachelor's degree in CSE, EEE, software engineering or a related field, with strong academic results
- 0–2 years of experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Solid fundamentals in databases and SQL, data structures and basic system design
- The ability to code in at least one language (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript, C#
- Clear written and spoken English and Bangla, and the ability to explain technical things simply.
- Curiosity about how things work and why they were built that way Nice-to-haves
- Internships, final-year projects or personal projects in software, data or process automation
- Competitive programming, hackathons or open-source contributions
- BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or a cloud fundamentals certification (AWS, Azure)
